Ekoskola project Our school has taken part of this project since 2012. The aim is to reach very high standards of green activity at school and finally attain the much sought-after Green Flag award. This required a lot of hard work from those involved and the school in general. Thanks to the already solid basis there were at school and the large amount of hard work devoted to this project, since the first year of participation we managed to attain the much desired award. However, the work doesn't stop there because every year we have to work even harder to keep the Green flag in our school. The aim of this project is to empower our students in environmental decisions and actions in our school and the community.
Eko-Skola The EcoSchools programme was launched in 1994 by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) and now includes over 12,000 schools spread around the world.
The EcoSchools programme aims at organizing the entire school, empowering students to embrace an active role in environmental decision making and also to take positive action in their school and the community.
New Scholastic year ~ New Eco School Committee
During the first week of this scholastic year applications were handed out to those students interested in joining this year’s Eco School Committee. Applications were open to students from year 3 to year 6. Students themselves elected the members that were to take on the roles for the entire scholastic year. Some of these students were already members of the committee in previous years.
