HSBC Project Thanks to HSBC Eco-Schools Climate Initiative, our school was given a grant of €1000 to spend on school project. We used these funds for a garden project. We transformed the garden area in a wildlife corner for insects, birds and indigenous plants for the whole school to observe and appreciate. On one side of the garden we have introduce organic gardening to teach our students more about crops and give them the possibility to watch them grow and have a hands on approach. Year 6 students are taking care of watering all the plants and crops weekly. One other important thing about this project consists in harvesting the huge amount of water our school roof collects during rainy days. So far we have estimated that for every time it rains we collect 600 litres of water in our tanks.
